Nixor, KGS shine at School Games

The boys and girls basketball events featured 27 teams

Nixor College boys and girls basketball teams stole the limelight in the PSSO National School Games by winning the under-17 and under-19 titles in style on Monday.

The competitions were held at the Muhammad Siddique Memon Scout Sports Complex and featured 27 teams from various schools and colleges from across Pakistan.

In the boys under-17 basketball contest, the Nixor O Levels team beat Karachi Grammar School after a nail-biting match while the Alpha School bagged the third position.

In the under-19 boys basketball match, Nixor College overpowered the Karachi Grammar School, scoring a narrow win in front of a sizeable crowd.

Cedar Gold and Whales College claimed the third position.

In the girls category, the Nixor O Levels basketball team once again beat the Karachi Grammar School team after a close contest. Alpha High School claimed the third position.

In the under-19 basketball event, Nixor College outplayed Cedar College.The City School PAF Chapter and Karachi Grammar School claimed a joint third position.

Justice (Rtd) Hasan Feroze, Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Karachi was the chief guest at te closing ceremony.

The guests of honour included Fatima Naqvi, Board Member, American Culture Center

Gohar Raza, President, PSSO, Alay Sadiqain Naqvi, Senior Vice President, PSSO and Syed Akhtar Meer, Provincial Secretary, Sindh Boys Scouts Association.
