RAWALPINDI:

Rawalpindi Educational Board Chairman, Muhammad Adnan Khan, has recommended an inquiry under the PEEDA Act against 207 teachers who failed to perform their examination duties for the Intermediate Second Annual Supplementary exams.

This action comes in response to the refusal of these teachers to comply with assigned exam duties mandated by the board. According to clear directives from the Punjab government, examination duties are considered essential services.

The teachers, designated as supervisory staff for the Intermediate Second Annual exams, did not report to their respective examination centres by October 21.

Following the chairman's recommendation, the Commissioner of Rawalpindi has ordered the Chief Executive Officers of all districts to initiate action under the PEEDA Act 2006.
