In a night that celebrated trailblazing women across various fields, Isha Ambani, the dynamic managing director of Reliance Retail, took home the coveted Icon of the Year award at the Harper's Bazaar Women of the Year Awards 2024. As reported by India Today, the prestigious accolade, presented by renowned interior designer and entrepreneur Gauri Khan, marks yet another milestone in Ambani's illustrious career.

In a heartfelt acceptance speech, Ambani dedicated her award to her daughter, Aadiya, whom she describes as her daily inspiration. "I would like to dedicate this award to my daughter, Aadiya, who inspires me every day to do more and do better," she expressed, reflecting on the profound impact motherhood has on her journey.

Ambani didn't stop there—she also paid tribute to her mother, Nita Ambani, the influential chairperson of the Reliance Foundation, calling her a pivotal role model. "I always tell her that mom, thank you for walking, so I could run. So really, this is because of her," she said, underscoring the importance of family in her success.

The Harper's Bazaar Women of the Year Awards, a celebration of remarkable female talent since its inception in 2007, has previously honoured luminaries like Anya Taylor-Joy, Jodie Foster, and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. With Ambani's victory, she joins the ranks of these illustrious women, further solidifying her status as a leader in the retail industry.

Under her stewardship, Reliance Retail has not only expanded its digital presence with the launch of e-commerce ventures like Ajio and the beauty platform Tira but has also risen to become one of Asia's top 10 retailers. Additionally, it proudly stands as the only Indian retailer in the global top 100.

Beyond her business acumen, Ambani is actively engaged with the Reliance Foundation, championing initiatives focused on children and women.
