Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has stated that today is a "big surprise day" for the prisoner in Adiala Jail, referring to Imran Khan the jailed founding chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

In a statement issued by Punjab’s Information Minister, Azma Bokhari, she said that the strength of democracy lies in the supremacy of parliament.

She praised all those who played a role in the approval of the constitutional amendment. She added that those destined to weep and complain can only create hurdles in constitutional amendments and legislation.

Azma Bokhari further stated that today is a "big surprise day" for the prisoner in Adiala Jail. She remarked that the people of Pakistan have already witnessed the dark side of the prisoner in Adiala Jail and his associates, and they will no longer fall for the deception of the long-term inmate of Adiala Jail.

She stated that supporters of democracy are celebrating the approval of the constitutional amendment, while those with dictatorial tendencies are infuriated.

She said, "Those who previously ran character assassination campaigns against judges and their families are now pretending to be sympathisers of the judiciary. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is no longer a political party but a group of political orphans."

She added, "First, they incited students for their dirty politics, and now they are appealing to lawyers to take to the streets. Chief Justice Faez Isa has made all his decisions in line with the constitution and the law. His name will be written in golden letters in the history of the judiciary."
