ISLAMABAD: Thousands of commuters travel in twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi are facing difficulties due to non-availability of CNG. Around 70 per cent of commuters are believed to be suffering, as there are no fixed rates for public buses that run on CNG. Commuters complain that the fares are adjusted according to petrol and diesel prices but CNG-run vehicles increase the fares without any official notification. They also questioned why transporters are linking transport fares with diesel run vehicles. They demanded the authorities to fix transport fares according to CNG prices as majority of public transport vehicles use CNG.
