LG by-poll results a mixed bag

PESHAWAR:

The by-elections for 54 vacant seats in various neighborhood and village councils across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa have been completed, with unofficial and unconfirmed results released.

These elections took place in 17 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, filling vacant positions for general, youth, and women's seats in neighborhood and village councils.

The polling process started at 8am and continued uninterrupted until 5pm, with strict security arrangements in place. CCTV cameras were installed at sensitive polling stations. After the counting, unofficial and unconfirmed results began to emerge.

In Peshawar's Ahmad Khel Neighborhood Council, independent candidate Muhammad Usman won the general seat with 869 votes, while Muhammad Abu Zar came second with 451 votes. For the women's seat in the Hasan Khel Berki Village Council, independent candidate Reema Bibi secured victory with 349 votes, while PTI's Basroza Bibi came second with 166 votes.

In Tehsil Pushtakhara, Achini Bala Village Council 32, independent candidate Momina Bibi won the women's seat with 387 votes, while another independent candidate, Khyal Warona, came second with 214 votes.
