Television personality Geraldo Rivera announced his endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris over former President Donald Trump in the upcoming 2024 election. In a post on X on October 14, Rivera, who was once an ally of Trump, criticized the former president’s behavior after losing the 2020 election, saying, "Former President Trump is a sore loser who cannot be trusted to honor the Constitution." Rivera further explained that he had not spoken to Trump since November 2020, shortly after Trump lost the election to President Joe Biden.

In his post, Rivera recalled his last conversation with Trump, where the former president sought his opinion on the election results. Rivera reported that Trump initially indicated he would do the "right thing" if the vote count remained against him, but instead embarked on "an increasingly menacing campaign to discredit the 2020 election." This, according to Rivera, led to the end of their relationship as he did not support Trump's decision to challenge the results.

Rivera also criticized those who continue to support Trump, stating, "However, you justify voting for Trump, adopting his big lie about the stolen election makes you a liar." His statements echo earlier remarks made in an interview with The New York Times, where he discussed his break with Trump over the events surrounding the 2020 election.

The Hill has reached out to the Trump campaign for comment, but no response has been provided at this time.
