Twitch has hit popular streamer channels for PewDiePie, Shroud, and Lirik with a third suspension in just two weeks, each ban lasting less than 30 minutes. On October 3, 2024, the three accounts dedicated to rerun content were temporarily banned and reinstated within 15 minutes, leading to confusion among fans.

Subsequent bans occurred on October 12 and October 14, with each channel facing a brief suspension followed by a quick reinstatement. Just an hour after the latest unban, all three channels were suspended again, only to return shortly after.

PewDiePie’s Twitch account, sold to CoPilotMedia in March 2023, boasts nearly 2 million followers and an average of 200 viewers. Meanwhile, Shroud and Lirik_247 have gained significant followings since their launch in the summer of 2024.

The recent spate of bans coincides with Twitch’s revised Community Guidelines, which impose stricter rules against unoriginal content and impersonation. Though Twitch has not confirmed the exact reasons for these bans, it is speculated that the new impersonation rules may have triggered the suspensions.

Neither PewDiePie, Shroud, nor Lirik has publicly commented on the bans, and Dexerto has reached out to Twitch for clarification. As the situation develops, fans remain curious about the impact of these rapid suspensions on the platforms' leading streamers.
