Olivia Rodrigo experienced an onstage mishap during her third Guts World Tour show in Melbourne, Australia, on Sunday, October 13. The 21-year-old pop star fell through a hole in the stage at Rod Laver Arena, causing gasps from the audience. According to fan-captured videos posted on X and TikTok, Rodrigo quickly reassured the crowd, laughing off the incident with, "Oh my God, that was fun! I'm OK."
As she stood up, the three-time Grammy winner quipped, "Wow, sometimes, there's just a hole in the stage." Rodrigo continued her performance, telling the crowd, "That's alright," as she adjusted after the fall and asked, "How’re we doing tonight, Melbourne?"
The fall occurred just weeks before Rodrigo is set to release her Netflix concert film Olivia Rodrigo: Guts World Tour on October 29. In a statement about the film, Rodrigo said, "For those of you who didn’t get a chance to rock out in-person, now you can have the best seats in the house!" She added, "I am so glad we get to do it all over again!"
Rodrigo will conclude her 2024 tour dates with one more show in Melbourne and four in Sydney. The Guts World Tour will resume in 2025, beginning with appearances at Lollapalooza in South America and ending in Manchester, UK.
