Five major highlights from Game Freak Pokémon leaks, including disturbing folklore
A massive wave of leaks, known as "Teraleaks," has surfaced, revealing previously unreleased content and upcoming developments for the Pokémon franchise. Shared on the Centro Leaks X page, the leaks include information on future Pokémon games, Nintendo's next console, and hidden details about Pokémon lore.
One notable highlight includes disturbing folklore stories from Sinnoh’s Canalave City library, which hints at darker relationships between humans and Pokémon. Another revelation involves the mythology of the Pokémon universe, with Mesprit being revealed as the creator of Regigigas and the Regis, while Rayquaza, Groudon, and Kyogre are linked to the creation of Pseudo-Legendaries.
The leaks also revealed prototype footage for Pokémon Black and White, showcasing early builds and beta sprites of Legendary Pokémon. Additionally, confirmation about Nintendo’s next console, codenamed “Ounce,” came alongside news that future Pokémon games will be developed for this platform.
Finally, the leak uncovered a new multiplayer Pokémon game called Pokémon Synapse, which focuses on battles, reminiscent of the Pokémon Stadium format. The game is being co-developed by Game Freak and ILCA, the studio behind Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl.
