Train services from Quetta to other parts of the country were restored on Friday after 46 days. The train operation from Quetta was disrupted after terrorists destroyed a colonial-era bridge in Bolan during a string of attacks across the province on Aug 26.
The Jaffar Express on Friday left Quetta for Peshawar amid heightened security. Pakistan Railways Divisional Superintendent Imran Hayat saw off Peshawar bond train with 315 passengers on board at Quetta railway station.
Speaking on the occasion, Hayat said Bolan Mail from Karachi is also scheduled to depart for Quetta today.
