Streamer Adin Ross has confirmed that he remains committed to supporting Joseph Malinowski, better known as Lieutenant Dan, despite the Florida man's criminal past.
Ross had promised to buy Lieutenant Dan a new boat, valued between $50,000 and $100,000, after the man gained viral fame for surviving Hurricane Milton in his current vessel. This pledge, along with a Kick streaming contract, came after a TikTok story shared by Terrence Concannon brought attention to Lieutenant Dan’s life on the water during the storm.

When Lieutenant Dan’s criminal record, including charges of assault and battery, surfaced, rumors spread that Ross was backing out of his offer. However, during a recent stream, Ross addressed the speculation and firmly denied it, stating, "Everyone’s got a past!" He emphasized that he is still committed to giving the man his boat and fulfilling the other promises made.
Ross expressed frustration with the false rumors, noting that people were approaching Lieutenant Dan, asking if Ross had canceled the gift. The streamer reiterated his stance, insisting that he would follow through on his commitment, regardless of Lieutenant Dan's history.
