The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crimes Circle in Quetta has arrested a man accused of sexually harassing and blackmailing a woman through social media.

The suspect, Hameedullah, was detained during a targeted raid in Satellite Town, Quetta. He was shifted to the Cyber Crime office of the FIA for interrogation.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the accused had been using fake Facebook profiles to impersonate the victim. He shared explicit images and videos through these fraudulent accounts to blackmail the woman and her family. Investigators seized the suspect's mobile phone, which contained crucial evidence, including the incriminating social media accounts and other related materials.

The FIA has commenced an investigation into the case. This arrest is part of their ongoing crackdown on cybercrimes, with a special focus on addressing cases of online harassment and blackmail in the region.

The FIA urges anyone facing cyber harassment to report such incidents promptly to prevent further exploitation.
