The lawyers' community from Sindh has rejected the proposed 26th constitutional amendment and requested the CJP to crush the amendment before it sees the light of day.

As many as 543 lawyers from Sindh wrote a letter to the CJP, saying the proposed 26th constitutional amendment was another form of the Provisional Constitutional Order (PC0). They termed it a direct threat to the judiciary.

"The current Supreme Court is one of the basic salient features of our Constitution and creating a Federal Constitutional Court shall make it subservient and change the entire structure of our Constitution," mentioned the lawyers' letter to the CJP.
