Murder suspect claims victim raped him

The Sher Shah police have cracked a blind murder by arresting the suspected murderer within 48 hours of the crime.

The Sher Shah police have cracked a blind murder by arresting the suspected murderer within 48 hours of the crime.

According to Keamari SSP Lieutenant (retd) Azhar Javed, 50-year-old Nasir's body was found with his throat slit in the Sher Shah area on October 6. The victim was slaughtered with a sharp-edge weapon while a steel wire was wrapped around his neck, SSP Javed said, adding that the victim's mobile phone was missing. Nasir was a Bengali national and lived alone in a flat for the past eight years.

A murder case was registered on the state's complaint as no one had come forward to claim the body. Police arrested the suspected murderer, 20-year-old Sufyan, Sarfraz.

According to police, the suspect has confessed to his crime, saying that he murdered Nasir because he had allegedly sexually assaulted him. The mobile phone of the deceased was recovered from Sufyan.
