Massive arms and liquor haul seized in Balochistan

Earlier this month, the Pakistan Coast Guards, acting on specific intelligence reports, launched a thorough operation in the Musa Goth area of Balochistan’s Gwadar district.

The operation, aimed at curbing illegal arms and substance trafficking, proved successful as officials seized a large cache of weapons.

During the search, Coast Guard personnel uncovered an extensive collection of firearms, including 226 Glock pistols equipped with magazines, 34 Beretta pistols, and 145 30-bore pistols, along with an additional 140 magazines.

Authorities suspected that these weapons were intended for use in terrorist activities, heightening concerns about security in the region.

In a separate operation conducted in the Gadani area, Coast Guards also discovered a significant quantity of illicit substances.

They confiscated 959 bottles of foreign liquor and 2,203 cans of beer, further indicating the prevalence of illegal trade in the area.

Additionally, another operation in Gwadar led to the seizure of 332 kilograms of hashish.

In Winder and Othal, authorities found 44.5 kilograms of heroin hidden in a suspicious house and bushes, resulting in the arrest of two individuals.

The spokesperson for the Pakistan Coast Guards stated that the estimated value of the seized liquor and heroin in the international market was approximately 60 million rupees, underlining the scale of these illegal operations.
