PESHAWAR:

The Pakistan Flour Mills Association of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa has expressed concern over the wheat transportation restrictions imposed by the Punjab government, calling it a continuous violation of Article 151 of the Constitution.

In response, the association has decided to protest and go on strike. A meeting of the newly-elected cabinet of the Pakistan Flour Mills Association Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa was held under the chairmanship of Muhammad Naeem Butt, attended by executive members, newly elected cabinet members, and senior members of the association.

During the meeting, Chairman Muhammad Naeem Butt and senior cabinet members spoke about the unconstitutional restrictions on wheat transportation to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa by the Punjab government. They highlighted that the Punjab authorities are blocking wheat trucks by demanding bribes at checkpoints under the pretense of monitoring, and if truck drivers refuse to pay, they are subjected to FIRs.
