Railways workers stage protest

KARACHI:

The Rail Mazdoor Mahaaz, a railways workers's union, has issued a five-day ultimatum to the Pakistan Railways to address the grievances of its employees.

The union had previously protested against the shortage of water and electricity during the recent visit of the Railways Chairman. In response, the DS Karachi imposed a ban on five union leaders from entering railway premises and transferred some employees from Karachi to Kotri and Marshalling Yard. The union termed these actions as retaliatory measures.
