Lord Jamar hints Jay-Z could be next after Diddy, questions his relationship with Beyonce
American rapper and DJ Lord Jamar appeared on The Art of Dialogue podcast on October 4, where he shared his thoughts on why Jay-Z might be the next high-profile figure to face scrutiny after Diddy. During the interview, the host asked:
"50 going at Diddy hard, man. But how you feel about the people that are saying Jay-Z is next?"
To this, Jamar responded: "You know, I will say that Jay-Z, if he was doing ill like that, he was more quiet about it. You know what I mean? But then, if we be real with ourselves, it was kinda abnormal when he got with Beyonce. She was pretty young when he got with her."
Jamar referenced Jay-Z's long-standing friendship with Diddy, which is currently under scrutiny as legal proceedings against Combs are ongoing. It is well known that Jay-Z has had a close personal and professional relationship with Combs.
Jamar also hinted that Beyonce and Jay-Z began their relationship when the Destiny's Child singer was only 18, and Jay-Z was 30. According to Elle magazine, they first met in 2001 and started dating in November of that year, when she was still a member of Destiny's Child.
In his conversation on The Art of Dialogue, Lord Jamar discussed the friendship between Jay-Z and Diddy, as well as Jay-Z's relationship with Beyonce. He remarked:
"I feel like your girl Jaguar Wright might have been one of the first to really put his name out there. I don't know enough."
He added: "I'm not going to lie. When certain people get to a certain level of fame, I don't know why, but you start to hear little sh*t about certain people sometimes… If you really think about most of your top celebrities, Black celebrities, rappers… I feel like I've heard a rumor damn near about all of them…. Have I heard a little sh*t about Jay-Z? Yup."
Jamar also noted that while Jay-Z might have been involved in questionable activities, he was much more discreet about them. He found it "kind of abnormal" that Jay-Z started dating Beyonce when she was so young. He further mentioned Foxy Brown, saying she was 16 when she and Jay-Z were reportedly dating, while Jay-Z was 25.
This discussion followed an October 3 interview with American singer Jaguar Wright on Piers Morgan Uncensored, where she claimed that both "Diddy and Jay-Z are monsters." She further described the rappers as "victim-making machines."
