Accused records confession in fatal attack on lawyer case

The Judicial Magistrate South, during the hearing of a case regarding the fatal attack on Irshad Ali Shah Advocate, recorded the confession of accused Kamran Hameed.

The arrested accused said in his recorded statement that a plan was made to target and carry out deadly attacks on lawyers residing in Punjab Colony, PNT Colony, and Delhi Colony. All this planning was done at the behest of councillor Mama Hameed. After the case involving the attack, an urgent meeting was called.

Kamran stated in his confession that Mama Hameed, Arz Muhammad, Zeeshan, Abdul Malik, Saleem, and others attended the meeting. Mama Hameed instructed to create a law and order situation by instigating fights with the lawyers. It was also decided in the meeting that no lawyer should be rented a flat in these areas. On September 26, I, along with Zeeshan, Abdul Malik, Saleem, and others, attacked Irshad Shah.

In his confession, Kamran said that everything that happened in the attack was done on Mama Hameed's orders. He also clarified that he is giving this statement of his own free will without any pressure.

According to the police, on September 27, the suspects carried out an assassination attempt on lawyer Irshad Ali Shah. A case has been registered against the suspects at the Freire Police Station.
