Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi levied serious accusations against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), claiming that the party uses its rallies to transport terrorists and smuggle illegal arms into Punjab and other regions.

In a discussion on the Express News programme 'Center Stage', Kundi stated that Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi reported the arrest of over 100 Afghan nationals linked to the PTI. He asserted that the rallies serve the purpose of transporting terrorists, alleging that such individuals have consistently attended PTI gatherings.

Kundi claimed that these rallies are used to smuggle illegal weapons, stating, "Vehicles arriving for the rallies often carry arms." He further accused the party of facilitating the entry of illegal Afghan residents under the guise of public demonstrations.

He questioned the surge in street crime in Islamabad and Lahore, suggesting that these incidents are linked to individuals brought in through PTI events.

When asked about the whereabouts of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Kundi expressed that it is not unusual for him to be unreachable by evening, adding that clarity on his situation is expected by morning.

Regarding dialogue with the PTI, the governor stated that discussions are not possible, describing the party members as "hard-headed" and asserting that they operate on an anti-national agenda.

He pointed to the PTI's past actions, including writing to the IMF and the events of May 9, and criticised their recent invitation to the Indian foreign minister as a deliberate attempt to undermine the event.

Kundi also addressed a query about his meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, revealing that he briefed the PM on the security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and discussed ongoing projects. He noted that there were discussions about the possibility of a governor's rule, stating that constitutional options are always available.
