The federal government will transfer the Green Line bus service to the Sindh government in December 2024, revealed Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon on Friday. The Sindh government has finalised preparations to assume control of the Green Line's operations," he said during a high-level meeting he chaired in Karachi.

Attendees at the meeting included Transport Secretary Asad Zamin, Managing Director of Sindh Mass Transit Authority Kamal Hakeem Dayo, Trans Karachi CEO Shumaila Mohsin, and other officials.

Participants reviewed the operations of the Green Line bus service, and Sharjeel received a briefing on the project.

Sharjeel directed swift completion of the project connecting the Green Line with the Orange Line. Also came under discussion was the Sindh government's ongoing operations in the public transport sector, utility services, and subsidies for the Green Line service.
