Four new imams appointed at Masjid al-Haram and Masjid an-Nabawi

Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais confirmed royal approval for the appointments of new imams at the Two Holy Mosques.

Saudi Arabia has granted royal approval for the appointment of new imams at the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca and Masjid an-Nabawi in Medina.

According to a report from the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, the head of religious affairs at the Two Holy Mosques and the imam and preacher of Masjid al-Haram, confirmed the royal approval for these appointments.

At the Masjid al-Haram, Sheikh Badr Al-Turki and Sheikh Dr. Al-Waleed Al-Shamsan have been appointed as imams, while at Masjid an-Nabawi, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Barhaji and Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al-Qarafi have been given the role.

Earlier, Saudi Arabia had also announced royal approval for the by-laws of the "King Salman Non-Profit Foundation."

According to SPA, this foundation is part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' broader efforts for the welfare and wellbeing of humanity.

In a statement released on his X account, King Salman highlighted the importance of investing in people to enrich their culture and identity, emphasizing that these philanthropic efforts will continue.

The King also reiterated the foundation’s role in addressing challenges faced by societies and promoting prosperity and development.
