Livestock panel's first meeting stresses development

The introductory meeting of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Assembly's Standing Committee on Livestock, Fisheries, and Cooperatives Afridi emphasised the importance of effective measures for the development of the livestock sector and expressed confidence in the committee members' commitment to achieving this goal.

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of MPA Sher Ali Afridi in the assembly conference room.

He further stated that the committee would bring details about all research centers in the province and take serious steps to address any issues.

"Efforts will be made to promote the famous Sanan goats in Swat, and recommendations for building trout hatcheries will be put forward, which will benefit both the people and the provincial government.

Afridi also highlighted the need for reforms in the livestock department to ensure that production meets modern-day demands. Additionally, the committee will address the concerns of livestock employees and provide recommendations to the government wherever necessary.

The meeting was attended by MPAs Shafi Jan, Ubaid Rehman, Tariq Saeed, and Iftikharullah Jan, along with the Secretary and other relevant officers from the Livestock, Fisheries, and Cooperatives Department.
