KMC to build 30 new parks in metropolis

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation's (KMC) Department of Parks and Horticulture is constructing 30 large parks across all districts of Karachi. The green belts surround three key locations in the city, as well as various major roads such as Sharea Faisal and Shahrah-e-Pakistan, are being enhanced with greenery and landscaping. High-mass lighting poles are being installed to improve lighting management in the parks and beautify streets.

Mayor Murtaza Wahab has reaffirmed his commitment to making Karachi more beautiful and greener. He has instructed parks department to accelerate the construction and renovation of parks in every district. This initiative aims to provide residents with recreational opportunities close to their homes.

Wahab emphasised that all parks are a trust belonging to the citizens. He stated that the Pakistan People's Party government is dedicated to restoring these assets for the public and will ensure reasonable measures for their safety. The provincial government is committed to enhancing the city's beauty and greenery by utilising all available resources of KMC.

He expressed confidence that soon, residents in every area of Karachi will have access to beautiful, green, and well-equipped parks nearby.
