Renowned Islamic scholar Dr Zakir Naik , currently visiting Pakistan, visited the residence of JUI-F leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman where the two discussed matters of religious unity and global challenges facing the Muslim community on Tuesday.

Dr Naik was accompanied by his son Tariq Naik.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman warmly welcomed Dr Naik alongside a high-level delegation. During the meeting, Fazl praised Dr Naik's contributions to defending Islam, particularly in answering complex questions regarding the faith.

"You have graced our home with your presence," Fazl said, adding that Dr Naik's visit would bring further blessings to his mission. He commended Dr Naik's style of addressing religious queries, stating, "The way Dr Naik answers questions is a defence of the Muslim Ummah."

The JUI-F chief further acknowledged that many have been inspired and embraced Islam through Dr Naik's preaching. "Introducing the world to the beautiful face of Islam and working towards unity in the Muslim Ummah are our shared goals," he said. Fazl emphasised that Dr Naik was not a guest but a host in his home, reflecting their strong bond.

Expressing his gratitude, Dr Zakir Naik said it had been his long-standing desire to meet Maulana Fazlur Rehman, which had now been fulfilled. "Yesterday, some friends came to meet me, but I said I must meet Maulana Fazlur Rehman first," Dr Naik remarked.

Dr Naik praised Maulana Fazlur Rehman's efforts to unite the Muslim Ummah and expressed his admiration for the hospitality at his residence. "I feel a sense of belonging here," he added.

During the meeting, Fazl presented Dr Naik with a bouquet and gifts, while Dr Naik reciprocated by giving Fazl a bottle of perfume. The gathering included prominent religious figures such as Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, Maulana Asad Mahmood, and other senior JUI-F leaders.
