PTI founding chairman Imran Khan has lashed out at Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa, accusing him of biased behaviour and questioning his mental fitness.
During a conversation with media representatives in Adiala Jail on Friday, the PTI chief remarked, "No chief justice in the world has acted the way Pakistan's chief justice is behaving. He does not seem mentally sound to me."
Khan claimed that the verdict to strip PTI of its electoral symbol was biased as "the SC verdict in the reserved seats case has vindicated our stance."
The CJP had protected the election fraud and now he is trying to deprive PTI of its seats, said Imran Khan.
The PTI supremo alleged that the CJP was attempting to crush PTI for extension in his tenure, adding PML-N and PPP are family-based parties but no one asks about their party elections while PTI's three intra-party polls were nullified.
The former premier further claimed that the chief justice and chief election commissioner were hands in glove for winning extension in their tenure.
Why the Rawalpindi commissioner was not summoned after his statement on election rigging?" Khan asked, criticising the lack of accountability.
Referring to the ongoing power struggle, Khan stated, "The so-called third umpire also seeks an extension, and for that, they need PDM's support. They are destroying democracy and the rule of law to maintain power, while the nation begs for a single dollar."
On the current political climate, Khan said, "There is a moral collapse in the country, and institutions are being dismantled. They will never grant us a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for our protests, and if they do, they will push us outside the city, blocking roads and restricting us to a 6pm deadline." He urged the nation to come out for the sake of the country.
