The national team for the upcoming Test series against England is expected to be announced this week.

According to Express News, Shan Masood will remain the captain for the series against England, and the national team is scheduled to report in Multan on 2nd October.

The visiting England team will also land in Multan on the same day. The English team will have a rest day on 3rd October, while the Pakistani team will hold its first training session on the same day.

Sources suggest that 3 to 4 changes are expected in the team that played the Test series against Bangladesh.

After the conditioning camp in Lahore, red-ball team head coach Jason Gillespie has arrived in Faisalabad. Selection committee members Mohammad Yousuf and Asad Shafiq are already there, assessing the performance of national players in the Champions Cup. Non-voting members of the selection committee are also present.

The selection committee, along with the captain and head coach, will finalise the list of potential players after consultation.

The final of the Champions Cup is scheduled for Sunday, and the national squad will be announced with the approval of the PCB head before that.

The first Test between Pakistan and England will begin on 7th October. The second Test will be held in Multan on 15th October, while the third and final Test is scheduled for 24th October in Rawalpindi.
