Lizzo is proving that she’s focused on her fitness journey, despite negative comments from critics.
On Friday (Sept. 20), the "Truth Hurts" singer addressed rumors that she’s been using the weight loss drug Ozempic after showcasing her weight loss transformation on social media.
"When you finally get Ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit," she captioned a video on Instagram, sighing into the camera in response to the unfounded claims.
The pop star, who has been documenting her journey, also shared a screenshot of a rude follower who commented, "Did she use Ozempic or did she snort coke?" To which Lizzo simply replied, "whyyyy do u follow me?"
Lizzo has been consistently giving fans a glimpse into her fitness routine, sharing gym sessions and progress shots while wearing her shapewear brand, Yitty.
In one of her recent posts, soundtracked by Nicki Minaj, she emphasized self-love, captioning it, "FINE BOTH WAYS."
The Grammy winner has also been working on new music, recently telling fans, "I’m making the BEST music of my life" and describing her new album as a "BODY OF TWERK."
Beyond her physical health, Lizzo has been open about her mental health. After a challenging period last year, she shared, "The dark cloud that followed me every day is finally clearing up," adding that her smile is now reaching her eyes again.
