The family outing followed recent media attention on a resurfaced 2019 video where Kutcher laughed while referencing Diddy’s infamous parties during an interview on Hot Ones.

In the video, Kutcher stated, "I’ve got a lot I can’t tell," and later added, "Diddy party stories... weird man," as he said in the Hot Ones interview. This clip has drawn renewed attention amid Diddy's recent legal troubles, with Combs currently facing charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.
