Pakistani origin Hamzah Sheeraz triumphs in London, securing European boxing title

British boxer of Pakistani descent also adds the Commonwealth and WBC 'Silver' titles to his collection.

Hamzah Sheeraz, a British boxer of Pakistani descent, claimed the European Middleweight Boxing title by defeating fellow Briton Tyler Denny on Saturday at Wembley Stadium.

In a dominant performance, Hamzah showcased his prowess, knocking Tyler down twice before the match was stopped due to a technical knockout.

The unbeaten fighter connected with a right cross followed by a left hook early in the first round, sending Tyler to the canvas for the first time. He repeated the feat in the second round with a powerful left hook.

Despite Tyler managing to rise after the second knockdown, referee Mark Bates decided to end the contest.The victory marks an impressive continuation of Hamzah's unbeaten streak, now standing at 21 wins, with this match adding significant recognition to his career.

In contrast, the 33-year-old Tyler's record now stands at 19 wins, three losses, and three draws, with this defeat snapping his six-fight winning streak.In addition to winning European title, he previously also won the Commonwealth and WBC Silver titles.

Hamzah’s triumph not only highlights his talent but also strengthens his position within the competitive world of boxing.
