Kim Kardashian's visit to the Menendez brothers in prison, accompanied by 'Monsters' actor Cooper Koch.

Reality star Kim Kardashian recently visited the Richard J. Donovan Correctional facility, meeting with inmates, including the infamous Menendez brothers, Lyle and Erik. The visit, focused on prison reform, also included Kardashian's sister Khloe, mother Kris Jenner, film producer Scott Budnick, and actor Cooper Koch, who portrays Erik in the Netflix series "Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story."

The visit comes at a time when Erik Menendez has publicly slammed the Netflix series, accusing it of perpetuating inaccurate portrayals of him and his brother. “It is with a heavy heart that I say, I believe Ryan Murphy cannot be this naive and inaccurate about the facts of our lives so as to do this without bad intent,” Menendez wrote in his statement, which was posted on his wife Tammi Menendez’s X (formerly Twitter) account. This has sparked further debate around the series and the portrayal of the Menendez brothers' story.

Kardashian, known for her advocacy for prison reform, has previously visited prisons and spoken about rehabilitation programs. Her involvement in this visit highlights the ongoing conversation around the justice system and the complexities of true crime narratives.

The visit also draws attention to the intersection of celebrity culture and true crime, raising questions about the ethics of portraying real-life tragedies for entertainment.
