PTI leader Haleem Adil Sheikh's driver killed allegedly over a land dispute near Superhighway

KARACHI:

Unidentified assailaints shot dead the driver of PTI leader Haleem Adil Sheikh allegedly over a land dispute near Superhighway on Wednesday.

As per local police, the driver, identified as Shahnawaz, had gone to a visit a piece of land on Tuesday when he was attacked.

There was an exchange of fire between him and the assailant, but the attacker managed to escape, police added.

Shahnawaz also served as a watchman in Shah village. His family was unaware of his whereabouts at the time of the fatal shooting, and they were informed about his death at 7am.

In his reaction, Haleem Adil Sheikh expressed his condolences over the "tragic incident" and demanded a thorough investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice.

He stated that the loss of any human life is condemnable as he urged for clarity in the matter.

Shahzad Ilyas, SHO of SITE Superhighway police station, told The Express Tribune that Shahnawaz was scheduled to take the family of Haleem Adil Shaikh somewhere on Wednesday morning, but his body was discovered by a roadside at 6:50am.
