Cabinet approves policy; finance dept to release funds soon

The Sindh Cabinet has approved the 'Sindh Police Health Insurance Policy'. Following the approval, the Sindh Finance Department will soon release funds for the scheme.

A briefing in this regard was given to the participants of a meeting held at the Central Police Office with IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon in the chair.

DIG Finance informed the meeting about the progress and steps taken regarding the Sindh Police Health Insurance Policy. It was revealed that health cards for all police personnel would be issued by the insurance company. Assistance is being sought from NADRA for the family tree of the police personnel. Training on the health insurance facilities and their usage will begin today. IG Sindh emphasised the need for awareness and understanding of the Sindh Police Health Insurance Policy. All officers are instructed to organise awareness and information activities regarding the policy in their respective districts and units. All police personnel and their families should be informed about how to use this policy.
