Michael Jordan's iconic Illinois Mansion finally under contract after 12 years

Basketball icon Michael Jordan's sprawling estate in Highland Park, Illinois, is finally under contract after a 12-year wait. The luxurious property, initially listed for $29 million in 2012, boasts a regulation-size indoor basketball court, a putting green, a tennis court, a circular pool, and numerous other high-end amenities.
 

The 32,683-square-foot mansion features nine bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, and a 14-car garage, sitting on a sprawling 7.39-acre lot. The property's iconic front gate, emblazoned with Jordan's famous jersey number "23," has become a landmark for fans and passersby.

Jordan, who built the house in 1995 during his illustrious career with the Chicago Bulls, had significantly remodeled the property in 2009. The sale price remains undisclosed, but the most recent listing was for $14.855 million, a nod to Jordan's jersey number.

This sale marks the end of an era for Jordan, who has been gradually divesting his real estate holdings in recent years. While the buyer remains anonymous, the property's unique features and association with the basketball legend ensure its legacy will endure.
