The Supreme Court on Monday observed that the governments must spend money on development schemes but with transparency, which meant that the development projects must not be driven by some individuals' priorities.
While hearing a case related to the release of development funds to the members of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa remarked that the court was not concerned what development plans were being prepared.
The chief justice said that the plans must be made but everything should be under the Constitution, so when governments changed, the projects were not shelved. "There should be transparency," he added.
