Oscar-winning filmmaker Alex Gibney, alongside director Alexis Bloom, has crafted The Bibi Files, an explosive documentary uncovering Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's corruption trial through leaked interrogation tapes. The film exposes Netanyahu’s close ties to far-right coalitions and his manipulation of political events to stay in power, all while leading the country through the Gaza war.

Initially focused on his controversial judicial reforms, the film’s scope shifted after the October 2023 Hamas attack, highlighting Netanyahu's deep connections between his legal struggles and political survival. Family pressures, especially from his wife Sara, are also central to Netanyahu’s decisions, adding a personal layer to his leadership.

Despite distribution challenges due to Israel’s privacy laws and the sensitive nature of the leaked footage, Gibney and Bloom are determined to share the documentary, offering a critical look into Netanyahu's political maneuvering in a time of war and corruption.
