In a celebratory ceremony at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, the Bangladesh cricket team was awarded a significant cash prize of 32 million taka for their historic 2-0 Test series victory against Pakistan.

The event, organized by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), saw BCB President Farooq Ahmed receive the bonus from Aasif Mahmood, Advisor to the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The BCB also announced that a portion of the prize money would be donated to the victims of the recent Sylhet floods, showcasing the team's commitment to supporting their community during difficult times.

Despite a BCB directive that media interaction would not be allowed at the event, BCB President Faruque Ahmed openly engaged with the press.

He expressed his excitement over Bangladesh's current pace attack, calling it the best he had ever seen from the country.

"The most exciting part is our pace bowling unit. I have never seen a pace bowling attack like this from Bangladesh in my lifetime. We know that we have a good spin attack, but the pace bowling was unbelievable," Faruque said as quoted by The Daily Star, Bangladesh.

Key pacers Hasan Mahmud, Nahid Rana, Taskin Ahmed, and Shoriful Islam played pivotal roles in Bangladesh's series triumph, which marked a significant achievement for the team.

Up next for Bangladesh is a highly anticipated multi-format series against India.

The first Test will take place on September 19 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, followed by a second Test in Kanpur on September 27.

After the Test matches, both sides will compete in three T20I games, as Bangladesh hopes to carry their momentum into the series and challenge India on their home turf.
