Veteran Bollywood actor and politician Jaya Bachchan has become infamous for her candid and often confrontational exchanges with the paparazzi. While her stern remarks have regularly made headlines, celebrity photographer Manav Manglani recently offered a rare glimpse into why Jaya reacts the way she does. In an interview with Aleena Dissects, Manglani shed light on the backstory, suggesting that the actor isn't exactly "media savvy," especially when it comes to today's paparazzi culture.

"She's not used to this much media attention. Back in her time, there were only a handful of photographers who handled things gently. Now, the media has grown massively, and it can be overwhelming," Manav explained. According to him, Jaya isn't opposed to media presence in formal settings like press conferences or film premieres. However, it's the surprise encounters, like when she's out with family or attending a casual dinner, that catch her off guard.

In a lighter vein, Manav mentioned that despite her frustration, Jaya does have her playful moments with photographers. "She'll even suggest angles to the paps, telling them, 'Why are you taking the picture from below? Shoot from here instead.' But ultimately, she has her own way of dealing with the situation," he added.

Jaya's run-ins with the paparazzi have become a hot topic online. Last year, an interaction at the screening of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani once again put her in the spotlight. Attending the event with her children, Abhishek and Shweta Bachchan, Jaya seemed to be having a good time. However, as photographers began shouting her name to capture the perfect shot, she swiftly silenced them, saying, "I am not deaf. Don't shout, talk softly."

Jaya's reactions have often sparked debates about privacy and the invasive nature of the media today, with many acknowledging that her old-school approach to fame differs from the social media-driven world of today. As Manglani aptly noted, "Jaya Bachchan has her own funda."

On the professional front, Jaya was recently seen in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, starring alongside Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, Alia Bhatt, and Ranveer Singh. Despite her occasional media run-ins, her presence in Bollywood remains iconic, and her no-nonsense attitude continues to define her interactions both on and off the screen.
