In celebration of Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan’s 25-year milestone in the film industry, an Indian news outlet reported that a multi-city film festival is set to be announced.

The festival will tribute the actress’s illustrious career, showcasing some of her most acclaimed performances on the big screen once again.

Kareena, one of Indian cinema’s most prominent figures, recently starred in The Buckingham Murders, a crime thriller that also marks her debut as a producer.

Released in theaters on September 13, 2024, the film has already garnered attention. Kareena portrays detective Jasmeet Bhamra, who is tasked with solving a child abduction case.

In a heartfelt Instagram post on the film’s release day, Kareena shared behind-the-scenes moments and expressed her pride in the project, saying, "As an actor, it’s the choices one makes… And I am very proud of this choice. Please watch this story and dive into my world of crime and drama."

Directed by Hansal Mehta, The Buckingham Murders also stars Ranveer Brar, Ash Tandon, and Zain Hussain.

The announcement of the film festival comes as Kareena’s fans eagerly await her upcoming appearance in Singham Again, a Rohit Shetty-directed film slated for a Diwali 2024 release
