CTD kills two suspected terrorists in DG Khan

The CTD team also recovered explosives, two rifles, ammunition, and a hand grenade from the militants' hideout.

The Punjab Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed to have killed two suspected terrorists during an exchange of fire on Dera Ghazi Khan Quetta Road late Thursday night.

A CTD spokesperson said the operation was carried out based on intelligence reports about a planned terrorist attack on key installations in the province.

The militants, upon spotting the CTD team, opened fire. In response, CTD personnel returned fire. During the ensuing gunfight, two terrorists were killed, reportedly by the bullets of their own accomplices. Two others managed to flee, taking advantage of the darkness. A manhunt has been launched to track down the escapees.

The CTD team also recovered explosives, two rifles, ammunition, and a hand grenade from the militants' hideout.
