PTI leader and former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has urged the rulers to "come to their senses" and try to understand the critical situation of the country before it is too late.
"This government is obstructing the Constitution, law, and court rulings. If it does not revise its policies, the country will face a major disaster," Qureshi, who is currently detained at Rawalpindi's Adiala Jail, said on Thursday during an informal interaction with journalists.
Referring to alleged police raids inside the Parliament House to arrest some PTI lawmakers, Qureshi said such illegal raids were condemnable.
"Public representatives were abducted from within the assembly. Our 10 MNAs were kidnapped from inside the National Assembly, which is condemnable," he said.
He said as the National Assembly speaker has issued production orders for these detained MPs, they would now be able to tell the house how they were taken into custody. He commended the statements of the speaker and PPP leader Khursheed Shah against the raids.
