Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb, known for their lively personalities, faced unexpected criticism at the US Open. During the September 8 men's finals, the two co-hosts of "Today With Hoda & Jenna" were told to lower their volume by Vogue’s editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour. Kotb, 60, admitted on the September 9 episode of their show, “We were loud and annoying.” Bush Hager, 42, corroborated, stating, “I think Anna Wintour asked us to quiet down.” Despite this, former tennis champion Stan Smith encouraged their enthusiasm, reportedly telling them, “You need to be louder.”

The pair, along with Savannah Guthrie, cheered for American player Taylor Fritz. Although Fritz lost to Italy’s Jannik Sinner, Bush Hager and Kotb enjoyed the match, highlighting their snacking habits. Bush Hager noted with amusement, “There was a moment where Hoda had an ice cream bar, I had a large sandwich, Savannah had a drink.”

Notable figures in attendance included Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, who were seen enjoying the game and sharing moments of affection. Swift and Kelce were joined by Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, among other celebrities.
