Punjab's Information Minister Uzma Bukhari has criticised Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), describing it as a "hideout for terrorists," urging the Peshawar High Court (PHC) to take immediate action.

Speaking to the media in on Tuesday, Uzma alleged that Zartaj Gul, whom she described as a "terrorist", has found refuge in K-P.

She questioned why no action was being taken and urged the judiciary to intervene.

"I don’t want conflicts between provinces, we are all Pakistanis," she added.

Uzma also lambasted the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), claiming it lacks the capacity to handle key issues, particularly controlling harmful content online.

She criticised the agency’s delay in removing offensive material and called for apps to be shut down if they cannot be properly managed.

Yesterday, federal Ministers Attaullah Tarar and Engineer Amir Maqam alleged that attendees at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) recent rally were forced to participate.

The ministers criticised the opposition, particularly the chief minister of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, for his use of provocative language at the rally.

Amir Maqam claimed that public resources were misused for the gathering, and that the opposition's rhetoric is focused on threats rather than solutions for the nation.

Just a day after PTI ventured into a legal minefield to stage its rally in the capital, the government wasted no time on Monday to arrest its leaders for flouting the last-gasp laws hastily enacted ahead of the highly anticipated event – widely seen as a test of embattled party's political muscle.

The ink on the legislation regulating public gatherings was barely dry when the arrests started rolling in, with Islamabad police arresting PTI leaders Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Sher Afzal Khan Marwat, and Advocate Shoaib Shaheen outside the parliament.

Earlier it was reported that Gandapur had arrived at K-P House, with PTI lawyer Naeem Panjutha stating that they would depart for Peshawar shortly.

Meanwhile, Sahibzada Hamid Raza, head of Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) was also arrested outside the parliment.

Confirming the arrests, Islamabad police spokesperson Jawad Taqi said more detentions were on the horizon as PTI's Omar Ayub Khan and Zartaj Gul Wazir were also in the crosshairs.
