NA amends National University of Technology Act

NA passed the National University of Technology Bill. A new passport office in Wazirabad is also planned.

ISLAMABAD:

The National Assembly on Monday passed the National University of Technology (Amendment) Bill, which seeks to amend the 2018 Act.

The bill was introduced by Minister for Science and Technology, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui in the house.

Minister of Religious Affairs, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, informed the National Assembly on Monday that work on the passport office in District Wazirabad would commence soon following the allocation of the budget.

Responding to a calling attention notice regarding the absence of a passport office in District Wazirabad, he that the Ministry of Interior had no objections to the establishment of the office.
