Anti-polio campaign kicks off

PESHAWAR:

The anti-polio campaign has been launched across 27 districts of the province, including Peshawar. The campaign is being conducted in two phases.

During the campaign, more than 6.425 million children under the age of five will be administered polio drops. In the first phase, 27 specific districts are included: Bannu, North Waziristan, Upper and Lower South Waziristan, Malakand, Swat, Upper Dir, Lower Dir, Lower Chitral, Upper Chitral, Bajaur, Upper Kohistan, Lower Kohistan, Abbottabad, Haripur, along with all districts of Peshawar, Mardan, and Kohat divisions.

A total of 5.753 million children will be vaccinated against polio. In the second phase, starting on September 23, more than 672,000 children will receive polio drops.
