Anna Delvey is demanding an apology from ABC’s The View, accusing co-host Whoopi Goldberg of misrepresenting a crucial detail about her case.

On Thursday, the hosts of the talk show criticized Delvey and their own network for featuring the convicted fraudster—who deceived businesses and individuals out of over $250,000 by pretending to be an heiress—on the reality competition show Dancing With the Stars.

During the criticism, Goldberg remarked, “She still owes people money. I don’t understand why she gets to stay [in the US]!”

Delvey responded to the hosts in a statement to Page Six on Friday, saying:

“While you are entitled to your own opinions, you should at least get your facts straight. I served my time and paid everyone back in full three-plus years ago. Looking forward to your on-air correction. Stay nasty ladies, but don’t forget to vote Sept. 17!”

(This is the date fans can cast their votes for her debut performance on the ballroom competition show.)

As Page Six initially reported, Delvey—who was released from prison in February 2021 but remains under house arrest by ICE while awaiting her immigration status—has received special authorization from a judge to travel to LA for the competition.

She had also been issued a Social Security Number and permission to work in the US.

She will wear her ankle monitor during her performances with dance professional Ezra Sosa.

Delvey reportedly managed to repay much of the money she embezzled using funds earned from her Netflix series Inventing Anna.
