Youm-e-Difa Pakistan conference was held at the Punjab Arts Council (PAC) in Rawalpindi to honour the martyrs of the 1965 war between Pakistan and India.

Organised by the Punjab Arts Council in collaboration with the All Pakistan Media Council, the event was presided over by the Director of the Arts Council, Sajjad Hussain. The special guest for the occasion was Azad Kashmir's Minister of Transport, Javed Butt.

Javed Butt emphasised that the 1965 war demonstrated how a nation's unity with its army can lead to victory. He noted that Pakistan continues to face significant internal and external challenges, particularly in the fight against terrorism. He praised the army for sacrificing their present for a better future for the country.

Sajjad Hussain highlighted the significance of September 6th, calling it a day of pride for the nation and a reminder of the sacrifices of the armed forces during the 1965 war. He urged the nation to renew their pledge of loyalty to the country's defence and stressed that this day symbolises the courage and selflessness of Pakistan's armed forces.

Sardar Khurram, head of the All Pakistan Media Council, said that the nation faces ongoing challenges related to defending its sovereignty, integrity, freedom, and key national interests.
