A rare Xbox controller prototype has surfaced, thanks to YouTuber Jon Bringus of Bringus Studios.

The unusual controller was sent by a fan from the Czech Republic, sparking Bringus' curiosity. Upon initial inspection, the controller presented a series of contradictions.

While the outer shell and triggers showed signs of wear, the analog sticks appeared brand new, and the D-pad still had its protective film intact.

Further investigation revealed a Micro USB port and a bulky battery pack, setting it apart from both the original Xbox and Xbox 360 controllers. When Bringus attempted to test the controller, it did not function on either an Android phone or an Xbox 360 console.

However, once connected to a PC, it was identified as a "DC1 controller, Copyright Microsoft 2012," suggesting it was an Xbox One prototype.

A full disassembly confirmed the presence of haptic motors, confirming its Xbox One origin, making it a valuable collector's item despite its lack of functionality.
