Brazilian actress Maidê Mahl, known for her roles in the HBO Max series Vale dos Esquecidos (The Forgotten Valley) and the Star+ series O Rei da TV (The King of TV), has gone missing in São Paulo, sparking a widespread search effort.
The 31-year-old was last seen on Monday in the upscale Moema neighborhood around 3:30 pm, wearing plaid pants, a scarf, a beige overcoat, a brown beret, and carrying a backpack.
Following her disappearance, friends and fellow actors launched an online campaign, sharing a 'Missing' poster with details of her last appearance. Adilon Harley, a psychiatrist and friend, revealed on Instagram that Mahl had been struggling with mental health issues and was receiving treatment at the Paulista School of Medicine. Harley described her as "one of the loves of our lives" and expressed deep concern for her safety.
Actress Giselle Itiê also took to Instagram, urging the public to help locate Mahl and share any relevant information.
The São Paulo Civil Police are currently investigating the case, and the search for Mahl continues.
